I was restless. Too fucking restless, and my concentration was for shit. I barely managed to produce enough of a damn to finish my homework, but when I tried studying, the words kept blending together, and everything I'd read wouldn't stick to my memory. The harder I tried, the more frustrated I got, until I was ready to throw my textbook across the room and send Ezra a text telling him I was going to take him up on his offer.

Maybe a night with some random guy was what I needed after all. A change of scenery mingled with hot sex and lots of cum could definitely help my struggles, right? Closing my textbook, a little more forcefully than needed, I stood, stretching my arms over my head until my back popped, and then went to my room to rifle through my closet. Tight jeans would do the trick, with a low-cut V-neck shirt that fit me like a glove.

There was no telling if Ezra would even be there by the time I arrived. He was kind of a flake, but I was okay with it. By the time I got ready and drove over there, he might've found his own person to go home with, and then so be it. I didn't need his moral support to find a man. I was perfectly capable on my own.

After making sure I had chosen the right outfit, I went to the bathroom to take a quick shower, so I would wash away the lingering stenches of textbooks and motor oil from the few calls my dad needed me to take. I didn't take too long in the shower and had just stepped out and wrapped a towel around my waist when I thought I heard a noise. I paused, waiting to see if I heard it again, but when it didn't happen, I chalked it up to a neighbor being loud and grabbed another towel to run it over my hair.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

What the fuck? Who was knocking on my door? Was it Ezra? I had my phone lying on my dresser, so unless I wanted to make whoever was on the other side of the door wait until I checked, the only option I had was to answer it—wearing nothing but a towel.

"I'm coming!" I yelled to whoever the impatient pounder was as they knocked on the door again.

I cursed not having a peephole, since I wouldn't have a chance to prepare myself, and worked on unlocking the door before swinging it open.
